ENCLOSURES PICKLE

What kind of enclosure do you guys use?

I'm in a kind of a pickle with what enclosures i should use because i always buy some Velleman die cast aluminum enclosures
but they have some stupid mounting arms on them and i have to cut 'em off each time.

Where can a guy buy some enclosures and is in Iceland?
Ebay?
I can't find the right ones.

I am in New Zealand, and have, i imagine, Similar issues with enclosure supply.

fortunately since i started this hobby addiction, the internet has made things so much easier.

your main concern will be shipping charges, for me Europe becomes a bit pricey but the states works out well. YMMV

I would reccomend ordering parts that are tricky to find, or cheaper at thte same time as any enclosures, from the us you can generally get two enclosures and a few bits or one enclosure and enough bits for a few pedals in one cheaper shipment.

the enclosures I like are either Hammond 1590b (what mxr pedals, amoung many come in)  or 1290ns (the ones EHX nanos come in)

+1 for pedalpartsplus for enclosures, especially if you want to defer most or all hassle on the machining and cosmetic work.  The price I paid for a pre-drilled, fully painted and finished hammond enclosure was amazingly cheap compared to what the technologist in me would expect, considering the "normal" machining and cosmetic finishing rates for one-offs and made-to-order jobs.

+1 for banzai. Shipping isn't free but its not too much to get it here to sweden. You just have to save up your orders to make sure you ship as much at once as possible.
