I've just posted a tutorial on how to modify your Cry-Baby wah pedal to be a Rooster-Wah.

That is, you can leave it c_o_c_k_e_d part-way up and switch it on and off with a pushbutton mounted on the end of the pedal like this:

The pushbutton controls a relay and momentarily mutes the output during switching.  As a bonus, your cry-baby becomes true-bypass (normally the audio in is connected to the circuit even when "off").

If you like that "c_o_c_k_e_d  w_a_h" sound, you might dig this mod.

Here's a link to the tutorial:
http://www.pedalsync.com/Rooster_Wah_Dunlop_CryBaby_PedalSync_Relay_Bypass_MV-57B_Module_Mod_by_Molten_Voltage.html

The tutorial is for a Dunlop GCB-95 CryBaby wah pedal, but any wah should be moddable in a similar way.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

I think it'd do a great job as a %^&*ed version. Have you eve considered building a fixed wah version in a normal stomp box enclosure, and do you know some nice project like that, with vero (strip) board and schematic including some parts list, that is verified also??? THX in advance.

nice work. i always wonder where the good place to put the switch is in such arrangements.

my life is a tribute to the the great men and women who held this country together when the world was in trouble. my debt cannot be repaid, but i will do my best.

Thanks.  The end was the best place I could find, and it fits easily.
