diy external tap tempo jack

i didn't see this on my initial search of the forums.

I want to switch out a simple two pole tap tempo switch and change it to an external tap tempo jack.

is this as simple as wiring a mono 1/4 jack to the two holes on the PCB?

hope this makes sense...im new to this stuff so my lingo is pretty bad
