What expression pedal is easiest to mod with a new pot value?

A lot of us have modded pedals to add external expression jacks to control pots. In many cases this means that an off-the-shelf expression pedal will not work as well as it could because there are only a limited number of pot values available - and they are usually linear.

I'm wondering basically which expression or volume pedals use the most "interchangeable" types of pots inside - e.g. Alpha 16mm - something that could be easily switched out with one of any value that's available from Small Bear. Many of them that I've seen use long-shaft pots or something otherwise customized for that application that would really only be feasible in high quantities.

Anyone had any luck with this? I am not above taking the pot apart and doing a wafer replacement if that's what it takes, but it'd be nice if there was something more accessible.

shows my suggestions for modding a "Crybaby Standard" shell to accomodate a regular splined-shaft pot.
