Rebote slapback

I just completed my first project where I etched my own board.  The delay works but I'm wondering about repeats.  I can't seem to get a one or two repeats.  I can turn the pot all the way down to get zero repeats but once I crank it up just a touch I'm already getting 7 or 8 repeats.  I like slapback.  Is there a way I can modify the Rebote or did I do something wrong in my build.  Increase the 15K resistor in the repeat circuit?

Thanks.

Have you measured the resistance on the pot to make sure it's working correctly and all the resistors in the repeat path?  If I recall correctly, having the repeat pot all the way down should yield 1 repeat, not no repeats.

I'll do that tonight.  Thanks.

I have just checked mine and that's exactly what it does - 1 repeat with the pot all the way down.

Let me modify my problem.  When I turn the repeat all the way down I get one repeat but the delay level is so low it can hardly be heard.  That's why I confused it for no repeats.  The first 1/8 turn of the repeat pot has volume so low you can't hear the delay signal.  Once you crank it a little further the volume is fine.  Unfortunately at that point the repeats are already more than I want.

dodgy pot...have you another pot to try..?

Nope...new pot, same problem
20k across repeat pot end lugs
Wiper to far side of 15k resistor = 15k
Don't know what other resistances to measure.
20k too low for the repeat pot???   .measured several pots in my part bin.... from 20k to 25k

Have you double checked all the cap and resistor values around pin 15&16, and also around 13&14?  Since the single repeat is so low, I would take an audio probe and check the signal level at pins 12, 13 & 14.  If it's strong at the pins, start following the delay out path until you hopefully find the problem.

Thanks.  I'll break out the o scope tonight...
