Hi everyone,

Just got registered and please sorry if I posted it wrong.

I have a question about reverb stompboxes. Does anyone knows or is willing to send me a link or schematic with pcb layout (and pcb print of course) for any reverb that actually is straight forward to build and does not require any of correction like one on tonelab? Also I need a reverb that is digital (I don't have reverb tank, don't know how to build one and don't have funds to buy one :-) ) with bypass switch.

Please...

I've built this one. Easy and sounds great.

You know the search is a very usefull allay.

Rub-A-Dub reverb if you want a super easy build on a PCB:
http://1776effects.com/store/

Wee bit expensive, though.

Merlin's Solstice, a companion to the Equinox linked above, is also pretty bangin'.

Thanks. :-) Search got me way too much results but you are right, my bad. :-)

On equinox project I can't download pcb layout to print it out...

Is there any more of digital reverbs to build or...?

^ You must type faster than I do, Rob!  Here's my revised post: :)

Rob's is the sweetest sounding reverb in a box I've ever heard.

I've built Merlin's Solstice that Jon mentioned, and it's pretty nice too. Swap the P2 trimmer for an external pot, and you've got a nice delay or reverb depending on the setting.

Nice. But last one uses Belton brick...I can't find it on Ebay and for equinox I'cant find parts list...

Unless you live in a tent in the middle of the Sahara desert....I'm sure that one of these suppliers will ship to you.

I just designed a new fuzz circuit! It almost sounds a little different than the last fifty fuzz circuits I designed! ;)

Search for "Belton digital reverb" on eBay. For example:

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html/?_nkw=Belton%20digital%20reverb&redirect=mobile

Also "Belton BTDR" on google.

That's great! Thanks! I know, but those two that you suggested do not use belton brick? Right?

I see that both are using DPDT switch and I have 3PDT, can someone explain (exactly, with pic if possible) what row to ignore during wiring? I saw posts on this forum on this question but none of answers was clear and direct.

If you want to make a "great" digital reverb verses a "good" digital reverb you should entertain the idea of making one of the Belton Brick designs.

The Belton Brick contains three PT2399s. You get a much more "lush" sounding reverb. Many stompbox companies use the brick for a basic, no frills, reverb. (No flanging, chorus, ect.)

The 2 PT2399 delay IC designs sound good.....but when A/B'd with a brick....well....you decide!

Also,
The Brick links on Ebay that Jdansti posted are for the original, larger BTDR-1 models that won't fit in a smaller enclosure.

+1 go for the belton brick BTDR-2H .  for a solid proper reverb....

as larry said, listen to them and decide....my money's on the brick though....with 3pdt. ;)

Ok, I understand that is better to have brick but I can't order 60-120$ kit to make something on my own...it is the same price for new pedal with warranty and after all the same sound...but that is not question and I don't care about new stuff...I just wonna make my own for less money that new costs...that is all about.
Anyway thanks for info it is most welcomed.

I just need to know does this equinox and solstice uses brick...?

And btw brick cannot be purchased on it own over ebay, it sells only in a kit...:-)

I'm not sure how you came up with this calculation. The brick is $18.50 from Smallbear -- it was linked above. A PCB for the Rub-a-Dub will run you $7, since it's on sale right now. The cost of the other parts -- a single chip, a 4001 diode, and a handful of resistors -- will be a couple dollars at most. Even assuming you need to spend a bit more on the footswitch by getting it from smallbear to avoid shipping costs from a second supplier, you can easily build one for ~$40.

Thanks for that link. OT: anybody got experience with this one: http://www.tubesandmore.com/products/P-RAMC2BF3 ?

armdnrdy

Not I...

The only think I know about reverb tanks is if you smack them ....it sounds like thunder!  ;D

Ok,

Is it possible to instal 3pdt switch in equinox and solstice reverb? What benefit is from spdt? Will it make true bypass or what? What will happen when you press footswitch on it? Will sound be bypassed or what?
