Hey Folks,

Have this great old Polytone Mini Brute IV that I'm hoping to build a footswitch for - I was able to easily build on for my Vibro Champ with Radio shack parts but I'm not sure how to wire the switch (or what type to use) and stereo 1/4" male to do the channel switching.

Here's a link to the schematic - the switching input is right at A/B 8 on the right hand side of the grid here..

If ya'll have any help to offer I'd be appreciated - thanks!

Have a look at the second post in this thread - the top diagram is probably a great start for what you want:   http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=101796.0

By the looks of these circuits:  'VIB' = your 'Reverb'    and 'REV' = your 'Dist'

Note,  I can't tell from the schematic whether this is isolated from the AC supply, so whether it is safe to use- if in ANY doubt you should seek the assistance of a local electrical/electronic  tradesman.

Great - that diagram makes good sense!

I do a search on the forum here but just so I don't make a mistake in the parts I'm ordering - is that a DPDT that I'm going to use for that then?

Thanks!

Looks to me like all you need is a SPST switch. All it has to do is connect to ground to shut off the reverb.

That's great news - cause I think I can get the all parts at rqdio shack then ;)

Thanks a ton!
