Kinda ironically, I'm mostly a straight-into-the-amp kinda guy!  I've used the Bear Hug for bass - it's not too obvious (which I prefer).  But I don't often compress.  Sometimes I'll gig with just a Small Clone (my build, of course).  Or recently I've been using a SY-300 for fun.

i changed the mid pot to a B2K and used an A25K for the bass pot. it sounds great now.

Hmmm... pretty sure my middle control does something.  I have it tilted to the right in my picture above coz it sounded good there.       I'll have to dig it out tomorrow and give it another listen...  Got pictures of your build (the board) in the meantime?

don't bother to look at it. it's solved. there's nothing wrong with it. i had a tiny solder bridge on my mid pot to ground on my etched PCB. thanks for the circuit!

Could you repost the schematic for this if you still have it? I want to try breadboarding it and it would be easier with a normal schematic.
