Simple pot questions - bigger or smaller to increase volume

Hey

Wired up a vero with 100k pot and its not even unity at full open.  Will making the pot bigger or smaller help this?

Basically can I chuck a 10k in there or should I go up to 250k? Thinking the 10k. Unless of course my pedal is not pushing enough signal which I doubt being a booster that worked fine without a pot at the end.

Something else is lacking.
Making the pot small eror bigger will not help much if at all.
Show up what you have and we can tell you where to start.

Post the circuit and then we'll talk.  There could be a lot of different things going on that could contribute to a non-functional boost pedal
