As a builder in south-east asia, it probably makes more sense for me to directly import my switches from Taiwan rather than the United States....any ideas whether this can be done, and who I should get in touch with..?
Thanks and regards,
J.

I just designed a new fuzz circuit! It almost sounds a little different than the last fifty fuzz circuits I designed! ;)

Are they the same guys? Thought they were a chinese outfit....

Also, whats a good manufacturer source for DPDTs stomp switches?

I don't believe that any of the stores list a particular manufacturer because the source could change and it's not like we would recognize the name anyway.

Alibaba is a group with offices around the world.

They work as a buffer between you and the supplier. The payment to the manufacturer goes into an escrow until the parts are delivered.

In your first post you said, "As a builder in south-east asia". Are you a "builder" or a DIY builder? Do you need three switches or three thousand?

Minimum orders to the factories that make these can be as high as USD $5,000. If you only need a few hundred, it might make sense for me to ship to you. Check my Stock List at http://www.smallbearelec.com/servlet/StoreFront and/or e-mail me at smallbearelec@ix.netcom.com. I buy directly from Taiwan Alpha and CIC and can vouch for their quality. There are many other makers, some good and some to be avoided.

DIY Builder (as of now :) ) ...looking for about a hundred or so, to keep me stocked for a year or so...

I don't know why you would order a product that isn't made in the United States, from the United states, unless you WANTED it to cross the ocean twice......

As I understand it, alibaba is the chinese equivalent of ebay, it's privately held, and bigger than ebay and amazon combined!

Try aliexpress  - much cleaner interface, more info upfront, better search options, etc.   I order a lot of guitar hardware (chromed parts) from this site, have had some good experiences.

Generally I avoid anything from mainland China, mainly due to delays and past issues with poor quality, but this has improved in recent years.... in the end it's still a crapshoot, though.
