I'm a complete novice at this.. So again, please be gentle.

I'd like to make a buffered volume pedal. Something extremely basic that I would be able to put anywhere in an effects chain. It's hard for me to make real sense of schematics, but this buffer I've found on beavisaudio has proven very helpful: http://www.beavisaudio.com/techpages/Buffers/BuildOneBuffer.gif. The illustration to the right helps make things "click".

From what I've read, there should ideally be an op amp on either side of the pot, correct? If so, I'd assume that the schematic I've shown above wouldn't allow me to simply throw a log pot into it somewhere and call it a day? lol

I'd really appreciate the help, and the simpler you put it the better. Thanks

you could just go along with a pot after the buffer you mentioned. You don't necessarily need one after, if you find you do, you could also just build 2 buffers then. Chances are, if you put your pedal between 2 non-true bypass pedals like boss, digitech, that due to the fact that they are buffered, you dont even need the input buffer either. Try and see.

Thanks for the reply! Would I simply put the pot in directly before the output jack?
