There's another one, too: it's possible to make R2 the depth. It shunts the LED at minimum resistance and gets pretty glitchy at about 10K. Some other adjustments to the LFO may be necessary.

Yep - I should have qualified that those are but a few (potentially) intersting examples.

If you increase R2 (within reason), it looks like you will be adding a DC offset to the LFO without affecting how much it swings. Does the LED stay on at the bottom of the sweep when R2 -> 10K?
