Hi,

I have some odd readings on my neovibe build. Build two of them and they do show the same readings. On the R40/R41 I have 17V instead of 11,7V
and on Q12 I have 14-17V instead of 10V. Is this a problem soundwise?

Q4-R13 = 4,18V (4,1V)
Q5-R18 = 10,95V  (10,9V)
Q5-R17 = 3,66V (4,1V)
Q10-R32= 5,6V (6,1V)
Q10-R34 =5,4V (5,4V)
R40-R-41= 17V ( 11,7V!!)
Q12=      15V-17V (10V !!)
C25= 27V (<17V did some adjustments and after C24 I do have <17V)

The problem with just listing a few transistor voltages is that we have no knowledge of the power supply it's working from.

Also - did you listen to both of them? How do they sound?

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

hi,

sorry. I did have too much power coming from the power supply, more than 27V, so I had to use a resistor (near C24/C25) to get in under 17V.
Neovibe 1 sounds pretty oke, the second one is a little 'thin'.

Btw I think the power coming from DB1 is still too high on both pedals (power from trannie is too high). Can this cause problems soundwise?

I'll have to check voltages to be sure....
