I grabbed a Vox v845 for $25 in pretty much new condition.  The wah sound isn't fantastic, but it's good enough that I won't rush into messing with it too much.

Looking at gut shots here http://stinkfoot.se/archives/561 it looks like there's plenty of room for extra curricular activities.

So my initial thoughts are:
- true bypass and LED
- switchable buffer a la http://www.till.com/articles/GuitarPreamp/

Then I thought of adding a switch to reroute the 100k pot to replace the pull down resistor in the buffer circuit.  Now all heck has broken loose as I start thinking of other effects I could pack in here and make use of that 100k pot.

Any suggestions from the audience on what would be cool stuffed in there?

You could add a DPDT toggle to switch between the original sweep cap and one of a higher value, so that the wah picks up lower frequencies and can be used with bass. You could also get yourself another inductor and get a more "vintage" sound, heck, you could put in another DPDT switch to alternate between the two for different wah voicings.

This is a good place to check out
