Hi,

I saw this layout and was wondering why the 3pdt wiring is different than the standard.

I always thought it was like this:

3 and 9 are wired together, 2 and 8 to input and output jacks, 1 and 7 to input and output of the board.  5 is ground and 4 is LED ground.

Any advice?

Thanks
Are you saying that I put an abnormal brain into a seven and a half foot long, fifty-four inch wide GORILLA?

Both will work. The first way grounds the input of the circuit in bypass.

What you described assumes the input and output wiring are on the outside sets of lugs (1,2,3 and 7,8,9) with the LED connected via the centre lugs (4,5,6).  The layout you showed simply has the LED connections on the 1,2,3 lugs.  Other than that, it's as "standard" as it gets, I think.
