Looking to build my first stomp box, so I was thinking to ease myself in - I'd buy a kit. I've found a few suppliers:

Have I missed any?

I use bitsbox and pedalparts routinely and I can recommend both. Haven't come across diypedalkits before.
If you don't mind ordering from Germany, das musikding's kits are good and relatively cheap. My last couple of orders from them arrived in less than a week and they have an active forum.

Thanks samhay :) Ideally I'd like to build a bass distortion - any you could recommend?

Sorry - I have no experience of bass pedals beyond the idea that you can often adapt guitar pedals by doubling the size of all the caps in the audio path.
However, there have been a couple of recent threads about bass fuzz/distortion.

Bitsbox is a great company. Always quick to post out parts, I've never had a wrong order from them either. And the postage is really cheap!

Never seen those kits on their site before, but the ones I just had a quick look at are quite cheaply priced. The layouts look like they are from the Tagboard Effects website, which do great layouts for stripboard. Also, for that price they are not going to come with an enclosure, but they are cheap enough to get. I can also do you a powder coated enclosure if you need it, and I've got a good selection on colours.

No idea about making a bass distortion though, but someone else can help with that.

If you can't find a kit for a good bass distortion, build a Catalinbread SFT on vero board, there's a good layout by Mike Livesley over at the other forum.
