forgot to ground pots... does it matter? (Rebote 2.5)

I've just completed the Rebote Delay 2.5 (www.diy-layout.com/44). It's a great project!

Seems to work fine in the enclosure but I just realised I forgot to attach ground to lugs 1 of both level and repeat pots.

Would this cause problems or issues with sound quality? Should I open it back up and ground them?

Your repeats will probably be out of control (never just one repeat, for instance), and you will have hardly any control over the level.

Unless somehow you've boxed it up and it's working right? :/

If you forgot something important as ground-connections you shouldn't wonder if it may or may not cause problems, but simply fix it right away.

an ungrounded pot is nothing but a varable resistance. for some things, that's fine, for others, not so much... like, gain controls, some tone controls etc... but if you need to attenuate/earth signal, it's a must.  ;D
