Is there an easy fix to get a little more volume from this reverb pedal?

This MOD reverb kit drops my volume by 1/4 when switched in.  Here is the schematic...( I'm using the version without the 1 meg resistor..second version)

Thank you!

Can't see a document there, man.   Got another hosting service, like Photobucket??

There's no simple fix for that plan. The dry/wet mixer has gain of 0.5 for dry signal; unless you have a glob of wet signal, the output will always sound weaker.

Q2 needs to be a gain-stage. Active mixer is most elegant but needs an opamp or a major rip-up of that last JFET stage.

The gate and source voltage on Q1 on that plan looks wrong. We expect gate at 4.66V (a good bit less with meter loading, near 3V) and a few-tenths higher at source.

I really don't understand that, but I see you do and I so respect that.  Thanks for the answer, I think it means I have to live with this.   ;)

Or put an active booster after it... I didn't look - does it have a voltage divider to GND as volume? Squeeze it in between the output cap and the volume knob if so - you'll end up with a pre/master volume interaction allowing you to also drive the circuit a bit  :icon_wink:

+1  best way I see to get what you want out of it...

Tangent here

I love it when I have a lot of interactivity between tone knobs in a stack, volume controls in pre vs. master volume interactions, even balancing gain vs. volume for various sweet spots. At least in stomp boxes specifically.

I often see the odd comment in tone stack and preamp conversation implying or outright stating its undesirable.

All to their own I guess lol :icon_wink:
