What would you consider "good" characteristics for a switching PSU?

I just built a +/-5VDC supply using two cell phone chargers.  The p-p ripple was about 8mV at around 75kHz (under full load), and my coworkers commented that this was quite respectable for a switcher.

I also 'scoped the loaded output of another supply which had been deemed too noisy, and its output had 240mV p-p ripple at about 83kHz.

So I have two data points, one "good" and one "bad", but am hoping to hear others chime in to help me get a better feel for the acceptable range.
Also interested in "x is good enough for audio, but y is better for some other application" etc.
