A friend asked me to pick him up some guitar cable and coincidentally, I saw this in the closeout section while scanning their site during their "free shipping on $75+" sale today.

Has anyone had any experience with that cable and/or the Chandler P100TS mono plugs?

For some reason 35pf doesn't sound that low. I think the Bill Lawrence are much lower than that.

Apparently some low-price curly-cords are much higher.

I've found a mention which seems to be 107pFd/ft.

> I think the Bill Lawrence are

"Bill's Capacitance is 20 pico farad a foot."

RG-59 (cable TV cable) is 20pFd/ft. RG-58 (cheapernet; also oscilloscope leads) is 25pFd/ft. RG-174 is 30pFd/ft. These are generally too stiff to dance with; also a pain to terminate. Fix-install cable may be solid center, will break after extended wiggling.

thanx for the info...

I honestly don't even know the capacitance of the cables I'm using (mostly Monster & Fender), but after a couple searches, it seems 35pf might be in the high-mid area.

This was what one guy noted:
"The lowest cap guitar cable on the market is the Elixir at 10 pF/ft. I used an excellent, relatively inexpensive low cap (23 pF/ft) cable the Gepco XBand. A good higher cap cable is the Canare at 49 pF/ft."
