Greg - the Eddystone 29830PSLA is ever so slightly bigger than the 1590BB.  It's only 1mm wider overall but according to the spec sheets inside width at the face it is 2.42mm greater.  The challenge will be finding one in NA or that's reasonably priced after shipping.

Other than those two. the 1550M is a few mm bigger overall.

CHEERS Gord!!!

I might be able to make it work with the 29830PSLA  ;)

Gotta see where I can get one now!!!

Thanks a ton  ;D

I believe England and Europe.

I knew it!  :'(

Well... if anyone happens to have one or can get one, let me know and I will trade for an equitable enclosure or parts!  ;)

Maybe I should put this in the For Sale/Trade thread... Ooops  :icon_redface:

Octapart offers up a Newark connection but i'm pretty sure that's through Element 14. Hasn't Hammond also acquired an Australian enclosure mfg. who produce some different sized but usefully sized diecast offering for downunder.

What does your board actually measure, is the 1590XX too big to consider 5.72" x 4.77" x  1.3". Between the bb & dd.

The 1590Q is square based on the long dimension on the BB.

@dave

I have looked at both of those Hammond options. It appears that they are indeed too large for my purposes.

Hopefully I will be able to find someone with a 29830PSLA that wants to trade  ;)

According to the specs, it appears to be a perfect solution!  ;D

Newark has them: http://www.newark.com/eddystone/29830psla/enclosure-wall-mount-aluminium/dp/08WX5402

Is there something about Element 14 that I should know about?

Don't know anything about these guys but they are based in New York and they have a 1-800 number:

They are available on eBay as well - shipping might be high though.  Amazon UK might be worth a shot - shipping to US is often not too bad.
