Help me find a "tube sound" overdrive schematic I've seen before.

I remember looking at an older schematic for a tube sounding overdrive (so the designer claims) that had a transistor driving a pair of transistors in parallel.  It was an NPN and PNP (maybe 3904 & 3906).  I've seen other people's takes on it as well but I don't think I ever saved it and I can't find in at any of my usual haunts.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I thought it had another tranny but I guess I remembered wrong.

I came across that the other day too and it looks interesting. If you build it up please report back.

I think the other tranny might have been for a buffer at the input. The Revolution Deux article explains that it likes a low-Z signal to work with.
