We probably should get back to talking about pedals, or move this to the Lounge OT section.  Less politics makes for more peace here.
I agree, it's all my fault I suppose :icon_cry: :icon_cry:

No blame accorded, my friend.  My attention was drawn to the inappropriateness of political digressions in past, and I thought it was a sensible suggestion.  That's all.

What I should blame you for is linking me to all those luscious schematics for things that are added to the pile of what to build and will reduce the size of my children's inheritance.  :icon_lol:

See Stephen, what all those cafecitos in the Richmond leads you to? You turn into a political agitator and lead Mark down the road to economic downfall. Tsk tsk.

Politics and religion... those two subjects have killed too many forums stone dead.
...you fritter and waste the hours in an off-hand way...

Well, there was this one public policy forum I was on where folks were complaining how many threads on economic or welfare policy tended to fall apart with someone always asking about mods for the DS-1.......and then there were the inevitable flameouts over capacitor types  :icon_rolleyes:

Ya gotta keep 'em separated!

Ok, no more politics. I´m sorry! Let's get back to our regular programming. :P

BTW, my tayda order arrived today. No problem at all.

Parasitic capacitance can still f it up. ;)

Slightly more on topic:

What's happening in Argentina regarding the OP reminds me of some places in Europe, too. It made me think that a buyers' club of some kind could help. Make one big order every 2 months? or 6 months? or whenever? It would take a lot of time and effort, but it might make it more possible for more people to tinker and build and design and what-have-you and cut everyone's costs by a big margin.

I've found that being reasonable about the size of your order helps A LOT. That's the best you can do with cheap international shipping methods.

StephenGiles

My only recent experience of international shipping was some Hi-MD minidiscs that I bought on Ebay, which came from Lithuania and took just 4 days to reach my home in the south of England - only 2.5 hours flying time of course.

As an example, one reasonable definition of the USA dollar is that this is the amount of USA money needed to give one person complete control of the amount of energy contained in 1 liter of gasoline.

Is this the paramter used to impose thing their own price?
I think its wonderfull and it was an idea thats been in my head for several years now
