The Wampler Ecstasy sounds great at any volume.

Not sure if this was mentioned, Dr. Boogie. Garbage at live volume.
Consistency is a worthy adversary

I try to bring a breadboarded prototype to practice. Some jumper usually pops off on the drive over, but the Dano breadboard with a foot switch mounted on wood would be ideal.

I keep trying smooth od sounds and they don't cut thru the mix well. I've tried a fuzz turned up loud and I still couldn't hear at all! We can't compete with a bass player. The tube screamer is so successful because it cuts so much bass and focuses on the mids. I like smooth overdrive at home, but something ruder is called for with a band.
