Some questions about ROG Flipster...

I'm looking at building one of these to use as an overdrive, and from what I've, I think I understand it's a preamp with speaker simulation.  Is it possible to add a switch to the PCB to disable/enable speaker simulation?  I also did some reading on adding a mid control, and I found someone saying to add a 22k pot here, I believe.

There is no speaker simulation.  There is some low pass filtering on the output that you can adjust to your liking.

As for the mid control.  You can see what Ted Weber did here:

Although I doubt it would be noticeable effect.

For what it's worth the regular bass and treble controls of the James stack can control mids based on how the lows and highs are positioned.

I do know that you can switch the 470p for a higher value to get a mid boost.
