The decay time can actually be made pretty fast already, though if a person wanted it to just come and go pretty quick, replace the 2u2 cap to ground i parallel with the decay pot with a smaller value, like 1uf.

Just out of intrest is the inverse also possible
would it increase the decay time if you were to say change that 2u2 cap with a 4u7?

I did a quick messy build of the DOD FX25 tonight and it doesnt work so far.
So I'll maybe be back tommorow evening with a fresh debugg thread. I implimented the Mark Hammer decay pot mod too.
I'm gonna get the machine that goes beeeeep out and have a quick look although my eyes are tired ( the bulb broke in the magnifier and i dont have a replacement) and I really should go to bed.

Bollo I read the BOM wrong and put an LM13700 in. Could it have fried this chip or should it work? in dod fx25. Sorry really not threadjacking.

Yes, in fact for a while it was common here for people to use larger value caps to extend decay time and smooth out ripple.

Thanks Mark.
Question 2
Is it possible or practical to make it switchable?

I got the DoD fx25 working.
Made a silly mistake thankfully.
I wrote the values on the layout but somehow muddled one up and ended up putting a 1k in the place of the 22k. Once this was corrected and an additional resistor that was missing from the layout were put in place. It struck up.

Yes.  Just be aware that it WILL pop loudly if you do the switching in effect mode, so be sure to bypass the effect when doing the cap switch.

Thanks for the help.

I thought I would report back. I tuned my auto wah for bass and it sounds great. Based on what i had on hand I used a .039 and a .0047 in parallel and it turned out great. Here's a video. The video also includes a Deep Blue Delay. I made both of these pedals for my little brother.

Thank you. After I made this video I tried putting the delay before the auto wah and it was awesome. The initial dry note would open the filter, but the delays would decreasingly open it until they were super dark. I wish I would have made a video of that before I had to let go of these pedals on Christmas!

Thanks for the tip
I'll try that one
