Boss BF-2 Fault Diagnosing

Hi everybody !

I tried searching the site, but may not have searched correctly.

I have experience wiring guitars, and I've modded a Boss GE-7 but I'm no electrician.

Let me break down what happened.

Did something extremely stupid. Playing around with the internal potentiometers while plugged into the pedal. Going to fast I didn't screw the backing plate with every setting change. I was putting the plastic film and backing plate back while I was messing around.

One time I slipped, I musta shorted out the pedal or something. Just stopped working.

I got my multimeter out and tested the power jack. Currently (no pun intended) the pedal does get power. Also tested the check light which has been off since the pedal no longer functions. The check light also works. I ran leads off a battery.

Now I don't know what to test from there. I've Googled and found plenty of schematics online.

Can anyone please help point me on the right path on checking the components ?

Still having difficulties. What would be the best things to check after the jack ?
