Reverb Pedal Options

I'm  wondering  if  some  folks  have  any  good  builds  for  a  good  sounding  spring  reverb  pedal?I've  played  through  a  T.C. Electronics  Hall  Of  Fame  pedal.Sounded  pretty  nice.I'd  rather  build  one  from  sratch.Any  suggestions  are  gladly  appreciated!

A good sounding spring reverb, would be a spring reverb In which case the only marginally tricky part of it sourcing the tank with the springs, otherwise the circuitry is just a simple amplifier to drive the tanks's input transducer, then another amplifier circuit to bring up the level from the output transducers then a mixer to get your dry/wet ratio right as well as a bit of EQ scattered in between to make sure the reverb is not too muddy or too bright.

Of course, you can't really fit a full sized spring reverb tank into a pedal sized enclosure.

So the options that are left in lieu of actual springs are:

• going completely digital with the DSP stuff, go look at the digital subforum
• 'faking' it with mutiple delays run in series/parallel with filtering in between, but it doesn't sound that 'springy' to me
• let other people accomplish the hard digital stuff with one of the Belton brick reverb units, you just have to do the analog mixing and EQ around it, look at the Chasm reverb thread, it sounds mighty fine -> http://www.smallbearelec.com/servlet/Categories?category=Reverb
