correct trimpot to use?

greetings-  new member here.  looks like a great forum to learn from!

i want to build a silicon fuzz face and incorporate a trim pot. do i use a linear trim pot? Thank you

I would use the linear. You mostly like an audio taper for things that are related to volume controls, as the ear hears in a logarithmic manner.  Not everything, but mostly.

Trim pots don't have tapers from what I understand. So all trim pots are linear. Only regular pots have varying tapers.
