Filth Factory help!

Hey guys,

im building a filth factory (http://pedalparts.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/FilthFactory.pdf) and i assembled the pedal and for the most part got it to work for a little while with the components loose and unmounted. but then once i set everything in the pedal is completely dead. ive rewired the pedal twice now and still no life! Sometimes sparks will fly off the output!

what am i doing wrong?

You've got a short somewhere.
