Clock Buffers - 4069 vs 4049?

Is there any reason we don't use 4069s instead of 4049s as clock buffers in BBD based projects?

It costs the same if not less and takes up 2 pins worth less of space on a PCB layout, not a huge amount but sometimes space saving counts.

Also it seems like it draws a bit less current, is it just not as good as driving as the 4049?
