I'm looking for some decent ribbon cable.

Minimum 24AWG.

I found this but its 28awg  and that might be a little difficult to work with.

Something reasonably easy to separated.

I saw a bunch on there but couldn't tell what gauge the wire was

I've used ribbon cable salvaged from old PCs, that's 28 gauge. It's easy to separate, you can just pull it apart, it's probably a bit thin though if you want to split it into individual wires. I only use it with headers and sockets to join boards.

Yeah old IDE cable. I was king of hoping to use the multicolored ribbon for easy of troubleshooting issues. I know one of the bigger name guys here did boards with kind of ribbon cable, I can't remember who though.

26AWG is a standard size that is fairly common in ribbon/flat cable.

I purchased 5 meters of 10 conductor from an ebay seller about 2 years ago.

I checked ebay...and it seems as if the price has increased...most likely due the never ending rise of the price of copper.

If you're going to be placing an order with Small Bear, he has it.

Maybe Steve can pop in and clarify a few small details like gauge.....and $1.65 for what length.

Small Bear's is priced per foot and 26 AWG.

A1 Parts in Toronto (local for me) have 22 AWG 4 conductor stranded @50cents/ft: http://a1parts.ca/wirescables/wire%20and%20cable.htm - scroll down about 1/3 of the way to "4 Wires for RGB Led`s".  Not tried it myself.

24AWG Solid core, but only 4 connectors, while it works it would be nice to have more.

Newark has Amphenol Spectra-Strip in 24AWG, so does Mouser.

Yeah I think thats my best best, It seems like it was a pipedream to open for multicolored SOLID core apart from the 4 conductor wire I already have

Apexjr has a lot of very good types of wire - I use their silver/copper/teflon for my tube amps.

One time a few tears ago I called Steve and asked him to put together the ugliest color variety selection he could come up with and he did not disappoint. Grey w/orange tracer, white with some other ghastly combination of stripes, he found some really horrible looking colors for me.

I don't know what I was thinking, but the result has been, he's never forgotten me! Meanwhile I haven't used it all up yet and I'm still looking at this weird stuff.
