4017-sequencer pulses controlling jfet-switching?

Hi

I'm currently building a bit crazy stompbox. It has 10 small amps in it and each one has a DPDT.
When these amps are switched off, I want my 4017-sequencer to open up for one amp at a time.
So step one opens amp one, step two opens amp two and so on.
A buddy of mine suggested jfet-switching, but I haven't really had any success with that. Maybe I did something wrong.
Any ideas?

All the best!

get some 4066 bi-lateral switches, a stack of bias resistors and blocking caps, and away you go. there is a page over at geofex on using 4053 I think, will show you how.

good luck.

That is a brilliant idea! And 0,4 THD is good fine. I'll only use it when I'm playing live.
Maybe buffering the signal from the 4017 before getting into the 4066, is a good idea.

Thank you!

the digital outputs of the 4017 will directly drive the digital switch terminals of the 4066, you don't even need resistors between, so no need for buffering. you might end up adding a resistor//capacitor slowdown between, though, if you get whomps or wooosh when they switch on.

I might have mis-understood your original post. can you maybe diagram the idea?
