You had it right.

alliteration:  the repetition of the same sounds or of the same kinds of sounds at the beginning of words or in stressed syllables

illiteration:  The repetition of spelling mistakes in the consonant sounds of words.
"Sychologists pstudy sychology" is an example of illiteration

Interesting point to add, that due to the differences between FETs, if you are measuring a J201 or similar you might need to omit the 51k resistor and just use the pot....you may need to get right up on the -1V to get to the Vp for some devices....as shown, you can reach around -.75V but no more.   

I did a couple this way, worked great, easy and accurate!
