Easy DIY Booster pedal schematic for guitar

Can anyone point me to an easy schematic for a basic guitar booster pedal? Just one level knob if possible?

Sorry if that sounds harsh, but I just typed in booster schematic and Google Images is now showing me a screenful of diagrams that mostly have one transistor and one volume pot.
