I bought a Eleca EW-1 Wah a while back at G.C. for $19.00.I tried it there at the store, and I thought it sounded good. When I got it home,I noticed it has piercing high-end,and not much bass.I've did searches for a schematic with no luck.Does anybody have a schematic,or mods for this wah?

I'm not familiar with it, have you tried searching G**GLE?   At any rate, you could probably open it and find the necessary parts if you needed to, just by tracing for a few minutes.  However:

What I suggest you try, tho, is this:  Open the back, and find the rack and pinion that allows the treadle to control the wah pot.
Loosen the screw holding the rack and slide it a little bit away, and turn the pot a little towards the bass end.   Put the rack back on, try wah.   If still too tinny, do it again.
All you're doing is setting the range of frequencies the treadle will make the pot rotate thru, see?  Like biasing it.

It may just need to be tuned!  I have yet to meet a wah that didn't require some adjustment this way when new!    In some rooms, it will sound nice, but other places maybe too piercing, so you could just need to find the right sweet spot setting :o

Right on.I didn't do the pot adjustment mod, because I do like the high-end response. It's just not a sweet type of highs. Most sweep caps use a .01uf cap.(The Zakk Wylde, and the Jimi Hendrix wah's use a .022uf cap to get a lower sweep.) Anywho,I actually like a .02uf Sweep Cap.I'm not sure which cap on the eleca's board is the sweep cap?I know there's a way to find it,I just can't remember!lol
