Plus he's one heck of a fingerpicker. I've learned a lot from watching his later demos when he actually appears on screen. (I might be the only person who watches his demos just to pick up new playing techniques and doesn't really care about the pedal being demoed.)

I think big muffs are really cool, have a cool sound and can be the perfect thing depending on what you're trying to do. The funniest part of that PGS video for me, was with the riff in question, how he said he preferred more of an "overdrive" tone. Yeah right... Because when I think of overdrive, especially "transparent", the first thing I think of is a Big Muff.
