I see some build errors. I would rotate the jacks 15 degrees. If you plug in, the signal tip looks like it might be close to shorting to the chassis. :-)

It is simple, very pedal without switch and LED, vintage wire rare that only have been placed in.

Knob without switches None at all in this spice to ¥ 15,000! And no need power! Terrible tut softening the like resulting in a unique range feeling of vintage just connect! So, what has been in the circuit diagram of any mechanism, let's open the case as at once!

No, it does not cheated in any way. You should not be fooled. The list price is apparently was ¥ 15,750, is seems that there is also a version high housing more luxurious.

If you compare's the spice this to give them the effect of comfortable and mellow distortion which I made with effector. This effect works the more remarkable as the distortion of the effector are radical, excess. Having said that this is in the 15,000 yen

it, was it the legendary vintage wire you are using the wiring fact, we are expensive

The google translation of that page is really awesome.  It doesn't make any more sense to me than the Japanese version.

OK, now you guys know that I have a 64' Blond bassman. I will take off one of the wires (cloth covered) and make this pedal and since mine is really rare - I guess I will sell for $200 USD. I might even have some wire from my old black face as well. That would go for $175. :-)

Just have to track down the spice wire:

Don't you want to use isolated jacks for this or disconnect the sleeve connections?

Put this as #1 in a beginners build section.

If they ask for help on this one.......cancel their membership!  :icon_twisted:

How do I make this true bypass?  ;D
I just designed a new fuzz circuit! It almost sounds a little different than the last fifty fuzz circuits I designed! ;)

Dave W

shouldn't the wires be a bit shorter so the electrons have a shorter distance to flow????
:P ;D :icon_lol:
That's where it's at.

...and angled so the eletrons can roll down hill.

Quackzed

is there a layout for this anywhere?
nothing says forever like a solid block of liquid nails!!!

armdnrdy

I would put LEDs on the enclosure.....maybe around twenty.

The more lights...the better it will appear to sound!

Switches too. A lot of switches...People like choice!

No! Don't you know anything about cloth covered wire?    It has to be longer for the cloth to add toan to the electrons passing by.

I'm sorry sir, we only have the regular ohms.

This reminds me of a few years ago when a coworker asked me to look at a stompbox he had bought from eBay.

He handed it to me and told me it wasn't working. It was small, in a black phenolic case, had an input and output and 1 knob. It was labeled "More SUCK" and "LESS Suck"

Turns out it was an Input jack going to a 1M Linear pot.... then to the Output jack. So in effect, it was a Volume pot  ::)

I fixed the broken wire to the pot and handed it back to him. You would have thought it was his Birthday! He was SO happy.... for that?

I asked him how much he "paid" for that.......................................... $45 he told me  :icon_rolleyes:  :icon_eek:

Looking at the wire gets me to thinking that maybe it does "the barberpole thing".

Hey, $45 is a bargainhttp://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/electro-harmonix-nano-signal-pad-attenuator-guitar-effects-pedal

And as much as we, who know what's inside, may laugh, there are plenty of working musicians for whom such a simple passive attenuator is a) useful, and b) something they don't know how to make themselves.  I remember some years back, here, J. Everman noted that he had received many requests from pros for just such a pedal, and I see he still makes them: http://www.jeverman.com/custom.html

The old EHX 5X was just 5 jacks in a box, all commoned, and Mike made it because people wanted it.

Tony Forestiere

The reviews in that link seem to echo Mark's assessment. The price point appears to be what the market will bear. Mike is a genius.
