I'm looking for which chip in my guyatone echo controls the length of the delay. with so many ic out there i have no way how to figure this out.

I'm hoping so that maybe i can glean some info from the internet about this chip and what its capable of.
The delay time resistance pot maxes out at 25k but I really love the garbled tones when i strech it out to 100k. I havent tried any more than that. but for what i am attempting to do with this pedal i'd like to fact check and see what could potentially go wrong with taking it further.

well, the T14L1024A is a "128K X 8 HIGH SPEED CMOS STATIC RAM", according to the datsasheet, so that means the TD01 thing would do analog to digital and memory addressing and digital to analog, probably. maybe the 74HC does the addressing, it must be doing something usefull.
Katy who? what footie?

What are the other two chips, I can't tell from the photo. I would try and trace the connections to and from the delay time pot to see where they go and how they are connected, that might give some clues.

wish i had it in front of me, i'd tell you in a heartbeat. I'll resurect this thread in a month or two when im home to see it up close.

YAY!!!! A GUYATONE TUBE ECHO!

Welcome to my Guyatone FLIP series addiction. We're in the process of sorting out the Fuzz Monster, and I also have the Metal Monster, Hell Monster, and Funky Box (on the way) as well. Hopefully, we'll be able to clone them all. Adding this one to the list would be nice. From all accounts, it's a really nice circuit.

Nyklus, could you trace it out, or lend it to us for tracing?

Hope this helps. I'm really not great at tracing circuits. I'd like this knowledge but am totally inept.
I can send it to someone if they want to borrow it for tracing.
I'm in the oregon area.
