It would be cool if someone would do really nice boards for both the NE555 and MAX1771 SMPS's and share them on OshPark so us normal beings could just order a few whenever we want.

I found a mistake with my board layout from before, not sure if it will cause this problem you are having? I had a break in the ground plane.. stupid mistake :icon_rolleyes: But, I have since fixed it and re-uploaded it to the original post. If the board you are using this time is the old one I uploaded before you can easily fix it if you take a look.. You can run a jumper or put a solder bridge across it. The old one may work fine in some cases depending on how you have it wired but, it also may cause noise, hum..

Fixed

That's a great idea! I'm good for at least 3 or 4.. I need them ASAP and they must be "really nice" or, I may not be able to use them! When do you think you will be done?     :icon_neutral:

By the way, if you do a little diggin you will find the Eagle files for both the 555 and 1771 which you can then use to create gerbers, upload to OSH Park and order your own boards.   :icon_wink:  Remember "necessity is the mother of figurin sh!t out fer yerself" and I think somebody really smart like Playdoh said that...!   ???
