I have an issue with one pedal. I did a swirl on it, and later clear coated it. But the clear coat seems to get blisters when exposed to the sun ...
What seem to be the issue?

I mean it's not that it's happening all the time. After the blister, i pop it, than sand everything close to even and than clear coat it again. As soon as the sun gets it's hands on it it starts to blister.

What seem to be the problem?

might be the paint under the clear gassing out when heated? how dry was the swirl paint when you cleared it and  what type paint was the swirling done with?
nothing says forever like a solid block of liquid nails!!!

Hm, but it's not gassing out until i clear coat it again ...

Anyways, it's humbrol enamel. This thing didn;t happen before. And it continues on this particular pedal only ...

or might be that uv is causing some reaction between the 2 paints, but i'd expect that to be more 'everywhere' rather than blisters... i'd leave it in the sun for a while let it blister as much as it can, then sand off the blisters, leave it in the sun again before reclearing it, and then clear it ...
that way if its moisture trapped or not cured fully it should cure and or dry etc.. via the long exposure...  :-\

I think that you got a point.

It's probably moisture that gets trapped in between the coats.

Ill give it a go. Thanks
