So here's another one for you gurus,


When deciding on pot values, is the higher the value almost equivalent to a higher resolution in a sense?

Say i put together a pedal it calls for a 5k linear. (aside from resistance) why 5k? why not 1k or 20k or 100k?

And does the same apply to log pots as well?
