The values given for Pinhole Camera are confusing.

The value I got for my well pump Pipe Friction seems dubious.

The value I got for my backhoe cylinder speed seems quite good (discounting 40 years of wear).

The engine HP for my backhoe pump seems way low.

The Engine HP calc demands you know your Drag Strip times. This appears to be as good as such a method can be; but this type calc has a long-long-long history.

I thought the Chezy Formula Calculators would be cheezy, but in fact I know these ditch-slope calculations under some other guy's name (Manning). (But would I really ever have a Hydraulic Radius in Picometers or in Miles? How bout furlongs?

Why is Pinhole Sizing also listed under Electrical Engineering?

The Voltage Drop Calculator does not say what drop it is designed for. (NEC calls for 2% within NEC's sphere of influence, but that is suggested not required, and several types of circuits can, do, and maybe should exceed 2%.) It *also* tells me that I can run *100 Amps* in a #14 wire one foot long.

I don't know what the Gear Pump Size Calculator calculates. What are the Units?!?!? If we know the gear "Daimeter", why do we also need the center distance? And why does flow fall off (not fast) when center distance increases from *half* the gear diameter to a full diameter, then go zero? And what is the use of a calculator which tells me 1,200 RPM, when my tractor will churn 2,200, and I am obviously too lame to compute 2200/1200?

Never(*) use a calculator unless you can find the answer ON YOUR OWN. The calculator may save time, but does NOT replace Thinking.

(*) Exception: my brother collects vintage calculators. To aim a canon you must compute wind, range, up/down of target, angle, mass of ball, bags of powder. In war-time we do not expect every gunnery operator to compute this, especially while under fire. Don't think, use the slide-rule and tables the Army issued you! (But be aware when they say something dubious; even govt-issue tools have typos, or you may have missed a step.)

wow, i was up all night trying to work out the mass and speed of a 2lb packet of sausages (uncooked)  travelling through space towards a black hole whilst rotating anticlockwise (if viewed from behind).

turns out its  468,000,000,000 tonnes at 3.1mph till it gets within 160,000 light years, then it gradually speeds up to 880,000,003 mph, then gone forever......thanks jim.

The only calc that was missing was a deathcalc.... Not sure how accurate since I should already be deceased... Maybe I am dead already and just too dumb to lay down?

Probably not useless.  It would be good if there were calculations that you have to make frequently if you verified them first.

But... You could also have a spreadsheet with frequent calculations in it too.  That's what I used to do when I had to calculate or verify calibration curves for environmental lab analyzers.
