I would maybe use the LM13700 as SVF Autowah type of circuit or a compressor.

Possible RAT build with the 386 or little headphone amp.

the other opamps , take you pick.

I just build a Smokey Amp, and the Noisy Cricket amp will be my second mini amp.

How did you get free ICs?  Did you ask for these particular chips, or did they send you a complimentary variety pack?

lm13700 - a small stone or an expander. the tlc's will do down-to-ground, can replace lm358 and lm324.

@ chad, get yourself over there PRONTO, it's all free. nearly all. within certain bounds. but free.

Max of five items but I just received my second order in a week   It took me a little while to figure out how to navigate to find the pdip packages and not everything is available in pdip but a lot of stuff seems to be. I got a few voltage regulators, cmos 555 which is lmc555, led drivers. Several other sites have samples as well, including Maxim. I grabbed a few different charge pumps from there. Fairchild has samples and I think Japan Radio Corp does too.

Cool..i just picked 3886's,  nice amps..but.....

on checkout it says i 'may' be liable for cutoms duty on delivery as i am in the UK..

or may need an EORI number?...


anyone have this?..

I went with power amps.  LM380 2.5W, TPA1517 6W, LM1875 20W, LM3886 68W, and some OPA2134 opamps.

This is pretty cool.  I tried to stay away from SMD because... I'm not ready yet (but I know it's coming).

I'll keep that in mind for my next order. Just got my MAXIM samples in the mail today too! I'm really filling out my ic stock list! Now I have to figure out what I want from Fairchild!

What did you get from Maxim?  I was looking around and... all I know is the 1044.

The icl7660 and and I think 7662 which is rated for higher voltage I think. I'm not sure if it works for our purposes or not but I figured I'd give it a shot as a sample
