Boss PS-2 problem with not switching off..help!

hi ,
first off , sorry for not attaching a schematic but i couldn't find one..got this though   http://servicerepairmanuals.net/others/roland-boss-ps-2-service-manual/

im hoping to get some advice on what may be wrong with my pedal if i describe the symptoms.......

what i had experienced is that the delay facility worked fine but i couldnt get any pitch shifting on the 4-6 switch positions.
So pulled it apart and reflowed the solder points on the switch and now it all works as in delay and pitch shifting BUT........

the pedal is now on all the time!   the footswitch wont work now
its very densely packed in there and maybe ive disturbed something so will check later after work and see what the wires to and from switch look like but otherwise im stumped

any ideas?
