Crybaby gcb-95 TB issue..

hi guys, so i bit the bullet and decided to try a true bypass on my wah (GCB-95)

the wah works fine, but am getting no bypass at all...i followed this guys instructions to the letter..

i cut the trace on the pcb just under the jack (made sure it was that trace)  , lifted the cap on the left ...added wires to the cap/diode/ resistor...

so i have this...exactly as the vid shows.. ....led works, wah works....no bypass?..

I think you want to move that green wire down one lug ..... maybe? (draw the circuit.)

ahhh i think i see what the guy has done....

at 3:09 he shows the wiring instructions with the 3pdt with lugs as horizontal (normal)....

then later on (5:36) its 'actually' wired with the 3pdt with lugs vertical...  @#$%ing @#$% @#$%er @#$%stik...

make sense?..

I think that pic has the switch 90 degrees out of phase.

check the vid at 3:09:  then at 5:36...

the bottom seems how he ''actually'' has it..

no vids for me, I'd be here for hours before reaching the 5:36 mark.

the top diagram switches the led right, what is the purple wire in the bottom diagram? and the loop on the left top does ?

i did not watch the video.

on the top diagram in your first post, the green wire from input jack should go to center, out to effect after the cut trace is outer lug. in other words, the green and black are reversed.

Joe's got it.  The input jack and input to the board are reversed.  So, in Bypass the signal goes nowhere.  Rob, check PM.

i did the mod late last night, so didn't test it...woke up n thought ahhh i'll try my new TB wah out properly today...

and was soon pissed off...

aha...voila' sorted....

i now have a cool wah...i removed the rubbers from the front n back and set the pot nicely,

and don't have to stand on the bugger to turn it on/off... brilliant.

i'll repost the corrected diagram for others ok...

i'm sure i'm right about the switch orientation on that vid though...weird!!!...anyway..sorted.

hint from above picture ^^ dunlop has an unused pin on their header and in the harness>>it is grounded on the board. i zip the ground trace and use it for my new TBP input wire pad for a factory look. jumper to wah input hidden under board. black zip ties optional.
