I've tried looking around online for a Pog 2 schematic, but I haven't had much luck on any of the sites with "free" in the name or through Google searches. Quick question, does anyone know what type of switch the selector switch is? A friend of mine has a broken Pog 2 but he's a bit far away for me to get hold of it and crack it open unless he mails it to me. I assume it's a 1PnT or 2PnT switch, but any cost-saving help would be appreciated!

I'm looking, too...  :(

I'm wondering if I have take two circuits and put in one box: one for up octave and one for down octave, and content with it.

It would be an interesting experiment to have a blend of octave-up and octave-down analog circuits in one box, but I think the digital versions have them beat by a mile on tracking accuracy. Still, just because the digital implementation is more precise it doesn't mean the analog version wouldn't sound super cool! :)

Analog - don't bother to even go there!!

Exaclty what I'm looking for! I work just with stripboard, but I'm still a newbie and I can't project it by myself.

Agreed. The Pog2 does what it does remarkably well, and for a (somewhat) reasonable price. Is it more expensive than a Tubescreamer? Absolutely. Could you build an analog circuit with a "similar" function for cheaper? Of course. Will it sound anywhere near as good? I doubt it, but if it does, call up a patent lawyer and get ready to be fabulously wealthy.

I realize digital is rarely the ideal way to go for a beginner or even relative expert without programming knowledge, but on a somewhat related note, has anyone tried implementing a Pog-like circuit with the FV-1 chip? That might be worth looking into.
