Smallest knobs

Without leaving the bare pot shaft, what would be the smallest knobs available?  Smaller than the little Davies.  Prefer slide on, but set screw is fine.  For these:

These are slide on and smaller than the davies. Handling feels good. Dont think they will work with that alpha pot though

These slide on the pictured solid shaft pots, very securely.  They're a little larger than small Davies.

I use volcano, or vulcano, knobs. You will find them on banzaimusic and, with a different name that I don't remember, at musikding.

Short scraps of 1/4" fuel hose (or whatever size that shaft is).

If you haunt low corners of fancy hardware stores, there are tube caps to cover unused ports which will fit and hide the end of the shaft.

Could try a liquid plastic handle dip such as Plasti Dip or Dip & Grip.  These usually come in black, red or yellow.

The pot they refer to these fitting are spline shafted.

Pretty sure Thomeeque used heatshrink for the knobs on the bottom left pedal.

Yes, but they also fit the smooth very well.

Fine tip black marker directly on the potshaft.

Bear in mind that they get harder to turn as the knob (or lack thereof) becomes smaller in diameter.

You might have good luck with these. Alpha RV09 series. They are made to be used without knobs. They have a recessed indicator line. And if you have a paint pen, you can paint the indicator line in your choice of colors. Unfortunately, the "knob" only comes in black. VFE uses them on most of their pedals.

I almost picked up some of those, except they can't be mounted to the enclosure, which means I'd have to be even more precise with layout and drilling and mounting the board.  I've reached 75% of pro quality, and that's my limit

Forum member (and work colleague) Alain Parent whipped up some sweet little boards, via a PCB fabrication house, for mounting 3 or 4 of those 9mm pots.  The board is separate from the rest of the circuit, and provides pads for running wires to whatever you want.  Not quite as elegant as the Small Bear 5-pot boards that use Molex connectors, but more amenable to a variety of contexts.  He uses standoffs epoxied to the chassis to hold the assembly in place, although a person could easily pop a couple of holes in the chassis and screw the assembly to the box.

I found some of these that were on a Roland Octopad.  They're for the D shaped shaft, but reamed to fit.  I'd love to find a source for these little rubberized knobbies.
