Greetings everyone. This is my first post although I've productively lurked for quite a while. Thank you for your expertise.

So: I acquired for almost nothing a bunch of GE 2N335A transistors.
They appear to have gold-plated leads -- anyway the leads are gold or bronze colored.
The metal hat is black, and after 2N335A, it reads 334.

Are these in any way useful in effects? I'm asking before I start messing with them, just to save time in case they're unsuitable for anything known.

Any knowledge or witticisms are appreciated.

Look to be NPN Silicon. Hfe of 36-86

Useful - YES. Could be used in some low gain Fuzz Face circuits or the likes.

BTW. Datasheetarchive is a great resource for finding info on transistors  ;)

Many thanks. Maybe in a Darlington pair...
Now I must make a tester to measure the hfe
