This last semester I took Microprocessor-based system design, quite possibly the coolest class I've taken in my entire college career. Instead of a final exam for the class we had a final project, which consisted of designing and building an integrated system based on the TI MSP430 microprocessor with a couple other pieces of hardware, and I chose to make Pong :) I wrote all the code from scratch (except for the LCD driver) and designed the PCB, which was made using the university's CNC machine. The only mistake (which I'm still kicking myself about) was forgetting a resistor between the reset pin and voltage but they wouldn't let me make another board so I took my dremmel and made another trace for the extra resistor, thus the slight messiness on the bottom.

Thanks :) The only analog components it even needs to operate is the voltage regulator and the resistor to voltage, the other resistors and caps are to deal with bouncing issues of the buttons. But the big IC is the microprocessor, which is where all the magic happens, and the small IC is just RAM, which stores high scores. Sure beats writing essays  ;D
